This item works as intended. It is soft and not crinkly which was a concern I had when I was purchasing this. It fit the mattress very well and saved the mattress once from a glass of soda which was knocked onto the bed when my dog jumped around me as we were getting ready to make the bed. Very worthwhile purchase.
