Hard-side waterbeds have been around for decades and usually consist of a vinyl, one- chambered water mattress. These mattresses contain a couple hundred gallons of water, making them extremely heavy. They usually are supported by a wood-framed base and supported by a plinth and weight distributors. Safety linings are common between the mattress and supports to catch any water in case of a leak.
For a good fit, you will want to use hard- side waterbed sheets on your hard-side waterbed. What's special about these sets is that they have triangular corner pockets that the corner of the liner fits into. Also, the foot of the top sheet is usually attached to the bottom feet at the foot.
This is also a personal preference, and not all of our hard-side waterbed sheets have this. Some waterbed sheets include special pockets in the corners of the bottom sheet to prevent the corners from popping off the water mattress. These are called "Stay-Tight Poles" or "Pole Pockets". We highly recommend these because they really work!!
