Woven using with extra-long and strong Pima cotton fibers, this highest quality sateen fabric gives the sheets a smooth, calming feel. This elegant single-ply 500TC Pima cotton sheet set assures a great night’s sleep and will quickly become your favorite set of waterbed sheets.

This is a true single-ply set. "Ply" determines the quality, feel, durability and weight of a fabric and refers to the number of threads twisted together when a fabric is woven. A single-ply fabric is made from single threads; the highest thread count that can be woven as a single ply is a 500TC. Because a 500TC is the highest thread count possible in the lowest single ply, it is the true crème de la crème to a linen connoisseur. To create higher TC, mills can double, triple, or quadruple the ply by twisting fibers together to weave 2-ply, 3-ply or even 4-ply fabrics. This means that some 1000TC sheets are actually made of 330TC 3-ply or 250TC 4-ply fabric. A word of caution -- higher ply sheets are easier to make this way, so be wary of merchants who offer higher ply sheets or simply do not list the ply. Sheets made from multi-ply fabrics are heavier, and have a higher likelihood of "pilling" -- forming annoying "little balls" or nubs on the surface of the sheet.

An optional attachment feature is offered for the top sheet, which secures the foot of the top sheet to the foot of the fitted sheet. The top sheet is attached to the bottom to keep it in place. The attachment helps to keep the top sheet aligned – perfect for active sleepers who want to make the bed quickly in the morning!
